Putin ally admits Russia has already lost war after Moscow hit by drone strike

Vladimir Putin’s own propagandists have expressed their doubts about the progression of the war in Ukraine, with one claiming Russia has already “lost World War 3.”
President Putin sparked fears of a nuclear war after confirming he had put Russia’s nuclear arsenal on high alert within days of launching the invasion in February 2022.
He has also continued to threaten severe retaliation against any country providing Kyiv with weapons or equipment to push back against Russian troops.
But despite his efforts, NATO allies have deployed multiple batches of munition – including cluster bombs.
Moscow State University academic Andrey Sidorov, a pivotal supporter of the regime who has put in multiple appearances on state TV to defend the war, has admitted the conflict is now past the threat of WW3 as Russia’s defeat led straight to World War 4.

Appearing alongside fellow propagandist Vladimir Solovyov argued Russia had been unable to successfully invade Ukraine because the leadership was stuck on Cold War strategies.
In a translation made available by the Russian Media Monitor, Sidorov said: “Many of our problems are based on the concept that we’re on the verge of WW3.
“From my point of view, WW3 already ended. We are now waging World War 4. We lost WW3.
“The availability of new weapons has transferred global wars between nations into a new format: the format of a Cold War.
“Any global war is a war for a new world order. Right now we’re also fighting for new world order but using the same means we used during the Cold War.”

The MSU academic also warned he does not expect the United States to continue providing Ukraine with new weapons Russia will be unable to compete with unless Moscow’s strategy changes.
He added: “Our society keeps on living, they say, ‘we’re waiting for WW3!’ We’re already in WW4.
“They’re fighting against us using other means, they’re bringing in more forces, the US will not stop even when they have internal fights.”
The comments came hours after the US confirmed they will be sending up to $400 million in additional military aid to Ukraine, including a variety of munitions for advanced air defence systems and a number of small, surveillance Hornet drones.
The package includes an array of ammunition — ranging from missiles for the High-Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) and the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS) to Stingers and Javelins.
The weapons are being provided through presidential drawdown authority, which allows the Pentagon to quickly take items from its own stocks and deliver them to Ukraine, often within days.
Officials said Washington is also sending howitzer artillery rounds and 32 Stryker armoured vehicles, along with demolition equipment, mortars, Hydra-70 rockets and 28 million rounds of small arms ammunition.
The Hornets are tiny nano-drones that are used largely for intelligence gathering. Ukraine has also gotten them in the past from other Western allies. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the aid package has not yet been announced.
The latest package of weapons comes as a Ukrainian drone struck an ammunition depot in Russian-annexed Crimea and Russia accused Ukraine of launching a drone attack on Moscow.
Russian media reported that one of the drones fell near the city centre, not far from the towering Defense Ministry building.
