Vladimir Putin’s one final blow to ex-chief Prigozhin as he severs last ties

The Russian Ministry of Defence has announced that Yevgeny Prigozhin’s catering contract to supply meals to troops has been terminated.

Prigozhin, who died in a plane crash on August 23, had run a large catering empire with strong business ties to the Kremlin.

This led to the oligarch being known as ‘Putin’s chef,’ however following Prigozhin’s fall from favour following Wagner’s abortive military coup attempt has seen Putin’s regime look to cut all remaining ties.

The Russian military announced that replacing Prigozhin’s Concord catering company will be his former rival RBE Group, according to the Russian business newspaper Kommersant.
