Denver weather: Hot week in store for Denver metro area with slim chance of rain

A hot week looks to be in store for the Denver metro area with most days having highs expected in the 90s, the National Weather Service predicts.

Monday will probably be the coolest day of the week with a high of 83, mostly sunny, with a slight chance of thunderstorms after 1 p.m.

The chance for both showers and thunderstorms is 20% for Monday before midnight. The overnight low is expected to drop to about 60.

Tuesday’s forecast calls for a high of 91 and will be mostly sunny, though a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms will be possible after noon.

Overnight, Tuesday’s low is expected to drop to 63 and remain mostly clear with only a 10% chance of precipitation.

Temperatures look to pick up as the week progresses, with the weather service anticipating a high of 97 on Wednesday, 98 on Thursday and 95 on Friday. There is a low chance of afternoon rain for each of those days.
