Two women rushed to hospital after being knocked down by Mercedes in 'deliberate' hit-and-run | The Sun

COPS are hunting a Mercedes driver who is alleged to have crashed deliberately into two women as they walked home on Boxing Day.

The driver is wanted for attempted murder after the women, aged in their 20s and 30s, were rushed to hospital over the crash that unfolded just after 3.15am.

Police and paramedics were called to the crash on South Fifth Street in Milton Keynes, Bucks.

Both victims were rushed to hospital where their conditions were described as serious.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses in connection with an attempted murder in Milton Keynes.

"At around 3.19am this morning (Tues) a grey coloured Mercedes Benz A Class car collided with two females, a woman aged in her 20s and a woman in her 30s, on South Fifth Street.

"Both women sustained serious injuries and were taken to Milton Keynes Hospital where they remain."

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Rob Lyne, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information about what happened, to please come forward.

“Particularly those who may have dash-cam footage from the area at the time, or relevant CCTV footage.

“Anyone with information can contact police by making a report online or calling 101. Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or online.”

Neither of the injured women has been named by police. They were believed to have been walking home after celebrating Boxing Day evening.
