More than 1,000 bikers escort 12-year-old boy’s coffin as part of 15-MILE funeral procession after answering appeal from his mother who said he ‘loved the sound of their engines’

More than 1,000 bikers from across the UK rode out to escort a 12-year-old boy’s coffin to his funeral on Christmas Eve.
Jozef Stasiak, 12, battled many complex health issues in his short life before he passed away after a spell in hospital last week.
His parents said he loved the roar of motorbikes and asked the funeral home to put out an appeal for motorcyclists to escort him on his final journey.
Organisers and those in attendance said the massive 15-mile processional was the ‘best send off possible’ for such an inspirational and brave boy.

After his passing, more than 1,000 bikers from across the UK rode out to escort Jozef’s coffin to his funeral on Christmas Eve
Jozef and his twin brother, Jacob, were born after fighting twin-to-twin transfusion, a rare pregnancy condition where twins share one placenta and a network of blood vessels.
The boys were very sick from birth and after a hard fight, Jacob passed away.
Jozef spent his life battling complicated medical conditions, including epilepsy, inability to see and needing to be fed through a tube.
He underwent endless medical operations over the last 12 years before passing away in hospital on December 12, Cornwall Live reported.
After his passing, Penryn & Falmouth Funeral Directors launched an appeal on social media asking bikers to accompany Jozef on his final journey from Carnon Downs Caravan and Camping Park to Budock Church on Christmas Eve.

More than 1,000 motorcyclists answered the plea and turned up to follow the hearse along the A39 on Saturday morning.
The young boy’s coffin was carried along the road in an adapted motorbike and sidecar and the bikers revved their engines in tribute.
Hundreds of bystanders lined the road in support, cheering as the parade drove by.
Jozef’s dad Dominik was among the bikers in the procession, according to The Falmouth Packet.
Two funeral directors leading the processional were dressed as Batman and Robin.

After the service, the funeral home issued a statement, reading: ‘We would like to thank every single one of you for the support and huge outpouring of love shown for Jozef today.
‘As we met the hundreds of bikers at Carnon Downs we could never have imagined that we would have so many.
‘To all that lined the route, thank you. It was an honour to conduct Jozef’s funeral today, as it is for every funeral that we conduct.
‘We would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. Much love, Daniel Shermon and Robin Hattswell-Burt aka Batman and Robin.’
Jozef leaves behind his parents, Dominik and Heidi, and three sisters: Faith, 21, Rhyse, 19, and 13-year-old Izabella.
