A touching video has captured the heart-warming moment Kate Middleton hugged a young girl who burst into tears after meeting the royal at a street party.

The youngster was celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III when she was greeted by the Prince and Princess of Wales on their surprise walkabout in Windsor.

In the video, the sweet royal fan, who was seen wearing Union Jack headband and patriotic dress, became so overcome with emotion after meeting a real-life Princess that she burst into tears as Kate passed her on the Long Walk.

The 41-year-old royal stopped to ask her: "Do you want a hug?"

To which, the weeping girl nodded as Kate crouched down to embrace her and had a brief chat, exchanging smiles with everyone around them.

It comes as Kate and her husband Prince William headed to Windsor to speak to people queuing ahead of tonight's star-studded coronation concert at Windsor Castle.

They will join King Charles III and Queen Camilla and 20,000 members of the public to see acts perform in celebration of the historical event.

Massive names in music such as Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Take That will be performing at the star-studded event, which is due to air on radio and television.

The Firework songstress was seen struggling to find her seat at the event, and later almost falling over as she left the abbey in a pair of sky-high heels.

However, a number of names reportedly snubbed invitations to play, including Elton John and adopted Brit Kylie Minogue.

Kylie reportedly turned it down due to the "growing Republican sentiment" in her home country of Australia.

A source told the Mail on Sunday: "Kylie has been an honorary Brit for many, many years, and admires the Royal Family and everything that they do.

"But she is also a passionate Australian and has read the room in a country that could very soon become a republic."
