Stacy Keibler – famed as WWE's 'sexiest diva ever' – is set to take per place in the wrestling body's Hall of Fame.

The wrestler turned-showbiz star and family woman joins masked icon Rey Mysterio, The Great Muta and Andy Kaufman in the Class of 2023.

Stacy told People Magazine that the phone call informing her of the announcement left her "completely shocked" and with 'tears in her eyes'.

The one time partner of Hollywood A-lister George Clooney, will be officially inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame just before the start of next weekend's WrestleMania 39, which takes place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles from April 1.

Stacy was first seen in WCW before heading to WWE as part of The Alliance. She immediately made a huge impact in WWE, and soon became a fan favourite

After leaving WWE in 2006, Stacy moved into showbusiness, placing third on “Dancing with the Stars,” the US version of Strictly, as well as popping up in the gossip columns as George Clooney's date.

She's been out of the spotlight in recent years, re-emerging on Twitter this week to say: "Been busy the last few years as a mother, wife and raising my kids, but excited to be back and reconnect!"

Stacy, 43, revealed that said she found out about her Hall of Fame honour two weeks ago, but had remained silent until now.

A WWE official had called her with the news: "When she told me, I screamed, and tears were in my eyes, and I was completely overwhelmed with just gratefulness," she said

Before getting into wrestling, she was a cheerleader but had always been a fan of the sport: "I would go to every show within a three-hour drive from Baltimore," she said.

"I drove to Philly, and I drove to New York, I drove to D.C. I was in the stands wearing my NWO shirts and holding my posters."

But although she'll always be a performer, she says, Stacy is too busy as a parent to her three kids to ever step back into the ring.

"I've entered into another chapter of being a mom, and anyone with three kids knows that that's a juggling act, and it's my full-time job," she says.

But just for one night she'll be under the spotlight again, and Stacey says she's excited for her three young kids – Ava Grace, Bodhi Brooks, and Isabella Faith – to get a brief taste of her WWE glory days during the Hall of Fame ceremony.
