Police officer who featured on Channel 4’s Call The Cops charged with further sex offences against girl, 15 | The Sun

A POLICE officer who appeared on TV show Call The Cops has been charged with further sex offences against a young girl.

PC Matthew Tregale, 33, is accused of abusing the 15-year-old on two occasions in 2014.

He has been summonsed before Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on March 8 to face two further charges of non-penetrative sexual activity.

The Devon and Cornwall officer, who appeared in the Channel 4 mini-series in 2019, was previously accused of a string of sex offences relating to three women over a 16-year period.

Tregale is charged with four counts of sexual assault by penetration and one count of attempted rape against a woman between 2005 and 2010.

He is also facing two counts of false imprisonment and one of harassment with the threat of violence against the same woman.

The cop is further charged with controlling and coercive behaviour of a second woman between December 2015 and July 2020, and against a third between April 2021 and August 2021.

He allegedly used police restraint techniques against the women – including using handcuffs.

Tregale is also accused of holding a knife against one of the complainant's cheeks and also allegedly threatened to make claims about another to her employer so she would lose her job.

Tregale was interviewed by police in May 2020 and placed on restricted duties.
