Monster shark who mauled dad to death caught as hunters pose with 13ft beast
The beastly 13ft shark that mauled an Australian tourist to death has been caught.
Chris Davis, 59, was swimming about 150 metres from shore at the Chateau Royal beach in New Caledonia on Sunday (February 19) when the attack took place.
The triathlete was bitten twice by the monster tiger shark and suffered fatal injuries to his thigh, hands and right arm.

Beachgoers watched on helplessly as lifeguards rushed to him on jet skis.
Harrowing footage showed them hauling the dad-of-three onto the beach.
Despite attempts to resuscitate him before the ambulance arrived, he sadly died at the scene.
Authorities announced a cull of tiger sharks and bull sharks as this weekend's attack was the third in three weeks.
And now they have caught the shark they believe was responsible for Davis' death, sharing a picture of it hauled onto a boat.
The cull is reportedly set to continue despite the capture.
A statement from Davis' wife and three sons said they were "deeply mourning the loss of our beloved husband and father".
"Chris was a senior software programming consultant in the superannuation and funds management industry and a keen triathlete, having represented Australia several times in age group world championship events," it read.
They also thanked those who treated him when he was pulled from the water.
Grisly details have now emerged from the autopsy, revealing that Davis never stood a chance.
Public prosecutor Yves Dupas explained he suffered two fatal bites, saying: "The [first] bite on the major thigh, extending 37 centimetres from the hip to the knee, caused a deep lesion with the section of the femoral artery.
"[The second] also fatal, according to the medical examiner, given the extent of the lesions, concerns the upper limbs, the forearm and the hands."
Chateau Royal Beach and other nearby beaches remain closed.
