ISIS leader killed ‘in combat with God’s enemies’ as terror group has new leader

The leader of terror group ISIS has been killed less than a year after taking charge.

Abu Hasan al-Hashimi al-Qurashi only took charge of the Islamist terror cell eight months ago, but has now died during combat with “enemies of God”, a spokesman said.

No details as to who the “enemies of God” were was given.

In a statement issued earlier tonight (Wednesday, November 30) by the United States, it was actually revealed that the man was killed in October.

Colonel Joe Buccino, spokesman for the US Central Command, said: “This operation was conducted by The Free Syrian Army in Dar’a province in Syria.

“ISIS remains a threat to the region. (The United States) and our partners remain focused on the enduring defeat of ISIS.

And, unsurprisingly, his replacement has already been announced.

The new leader, who is Abu al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Qurashi was described as being a “veteran Jihadist”.

The al-Qurashi is believed to be some kind of name that all new ISIS leaders are forced to adopted as it is seen as a way of pledged support to prophets from thousands of years ago.

The replacement also comes just a few month after ISIS suffered another huge loss when one of its senior leaders was killed by US special forces in Syria.

Rakan Abu (Hayel) Hail was killed in the Qamishli region, near the Turkish border.

According to sources in the region: "During the op another guy was with Abu Hayil got arrested, while Abu Hayil resisted and got killed."

Rakan Abu Hail's exact role in ISIS is unknown, as he appeared to be one of the less-known leaders to the outside world, but several other militants and allies of his and Syria President Bashar Al-Assad are also thought to have been capture by United States Armed forces.
