Harry and Meghan ‘must jump at opportunity’ to fix royal tension, says expert

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should "jump at any opportunity" to remedy their relationships with the rest of the Royal Family, an expert has suggested.

This comes amid reports the Queen had invited the Sussexes to spend time at Balmoral, the Firm's Scotland getaway.

And there has been much speculation over whether the former working royals will take Her Majesty up on the alleged offer – but royal expert Kinsey Schofield has said the couple should accept the invite.

"If Harry and Meghan accept the Queen’s invitation to Balmoral it will be out of necessity," Kinsey said.

"Megxit was one thing but the Oprah interview was an entirely different level of betrayal," the To Di For Daily podcast host continued.

"I still don't believe that Harry and Meghan properly weighed the pros and cons of executing that interview.

"No one else really has any interest in having the Sussexes around so yes, they must jump at any opportunity they have to still appear to be in the fold."

However, Kinsey doesn't believe that the Sussexes would accept the invitation purely to keep sweet with the Queen, or to build bridges with Harry's family – but thinks the move would be strategic.

"Cut to creative meetings with Spotify and Netflix," she added.

"The suits recognize that interest in Harry and Meghan revolves around their association with the Royal Family."

And although all eyes have been on the Sussexes to see whether they'll accept the Queen's supposed olive branch, speculation has now turned to whether the invitation was ever extended in the first place.

A source told Page Six that the Sussexes and their children would not be present at Balmoral after they were allegedly left off of the invite list that would've secured them a summer spot, despite rumours that the opposite was true.
