Fitness influencer shot dead in front of young son in horror carjacking
A fitness influencer was tragically shot dead in front of her two-year-old son and husband in a horrific carjacking.
Luanne Murta Jardim dos Santos Martins, 30, died after criminals opened fire at the car she and her family were travelling in down a road in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday (May 21) night.
Luanne, who was in the passenger seat of the car, died after a bullet fired by the cons entered her shoulder and got lodged in her heart.

She was rushed to a local hospital but she sadly passed away from her injuries, while her husband Joao Pedro Farche and son Miguelzinho luckily survived.
Rio’s police, which is investigating the attack, said they believe this was an attempted robbery gone horrifically wrong.
But Luanne’s grieving dad Jardim disputed this theory, claiming that no robber would open fire at a car that they intended to steal.
He said he believes his daughter was assassinated.
"This was a homicide because no one inside a car would steal from another and shoot from inside the car with the window closed,” he told local media.
Just one day after her passing, husband Joao posted a video message on one of her social media accounts, telling her fans: "I'm not very good at this. I want to thank everyone who's sending a lot of messages. There are many people who love our family and love us."

He also revealed that their son had been hurt during the awful attack.
"I'm fine, Miguelzinho is fine too. Miguelzinho hurt his face. He has some shrapnel in his face. But he's fine. He was in the back seat. But that's it," he added.
Luanne, originally from Rio, also leaves behind a 10-year-old daughter.

She had several Instagram profiles, with more than 900,000 followers across them.
The influencer used her accounts to share her life of luxury with the world, showing off high-end cars and extravagant trips across the world.
One photo even shows her standing next to a helicopter.
