Dad arrested for ‘raping his three-year-old daughter’ in Father’s Day attack
A man has been arrested in Brazil after allegedly raping his three-year-old daughter on Father’s day.
The 46-year-old, who remains unnamed, was detained by police in Montes Claros in the state of Mina Gerais on Sunday, August 13 – which happens to be Father’s day in Brazil – after the victim complained she was in pain.
She is believed to have been sexually abused when visiting her father to celebrate the special day, according to regional outlet O Tempo, reports the Daily Mail.
And according to Brazilian media, her disgusted mother immediately spoke to authorities regarding her daughters claim and took her to hospital for medical examination.
The 43-year-old mother became suspicious when the girl’s father did not return her at the scheduled 6 pm time they had arranged.

The couple separated before their daughter was born but still lived near each other and she had been spending time with him in his apartment during the day.
Her mother tried to contact him unsuccessfully, he then arrived an hour and a half late at 7:30pm, looking drunk, with their daughter laying on a bench nearby.
Not long after arriving back at her residence, the young girl commenced expressing distress due to discomfort and narrated the actions carried out by her father.

According to reports from Brazilian media, law enforcement initially visited the hospital to gather accounts from both the girl and her mother, subsequently proceeding to the father’s apartment.
The incident report disclosed that he exhibited signs of intoxication and vigorously opposed arrest.
Eventually, authorities successfully apprehended him, placing him under arrest on suspicion of committing acts of child abuse and rape against a vulnerable individual, offences that entail a potential 15-year imprisonment term in Brazil.
