Chilling moment Marbella nightclub gunman ‘pulls out weapon in row over girl before shooting five' in party bloodbath | The Sun

THIS is the chilling moment the alleged Marbella nightclub gunman pulled out his weapon from his trousers and opened fire on revellers.

Five people were injured in the bloodbath at the Opium Beach Club in the early hours of Monday morning.

The shooting is believed to have been sparked by a fight between two groups of party-goers who had both paid £4,260 for VIP tables in the club.

A witness told local media he believed the brawl erupted at 1am after a woman in one of the groups started dancing on a different table to the one where she had been sitting.

And shocking footage showed the moment the suspected gunman dressed in shorts and a dark t-shirt lifted up his shirt to pull out a gun and open fire on club-goers.

Cops confirmed the suspected gunman, a 40-year-old Dutch national, suffered stab wounds to his head and chest after firing his weapon in the packed club.

"Detectives are still hunting the man who stabbed the suspected gunman."

Two people – including a 32-year-old who was shot in the chest – were rushed to a nearby hospital after the shooting.

The pair both remain in a "serious" condition in intensive care, sources at the Costa del Sol hospital said.

According to Look, the nephew of the Spanish King Felipe VI Froilán de Marichalar was at the venue at the time celebrating his 24th birthday.

Meanwhile, Dutch Love Island star Kelly van der Minne described the terrifying moment a woman next to her was shot.

She shared on her Instagram story: "I'm not joking, I was at the club Opium in Marbella and someone just got shot, a girl at a table next to us just got shot.

"This is like the craziest thing that's ever happened, what the f***."

An eyewitness said the gunman started shooting randomly resulting in a number of people being injured.

Another witness who lives in the area told El Confidencial: “I couldn’t sleep because of the noise from the club and suddenly I heard the four shots.

"I looked out because from the beginning I knew that these were not fireworks like the ones that had been launched on other nights.

“I saw many people running and leaving the premises so I called the police."

'MAD PANIC'

A British expat who was among the revellers said there was a problem in the VIP area which led to one person being taken away by the bouncers.

They said the shooting happened during a second incident, ten minutes later.

The expat said: “They were swinging around those massive bottles of Belvedere Vodka and the bouncers charged back to try to sort it out and that’s when the shooting started.

“I was with my husband and he just flung himself on top of me because at one point the gunman seemed to be shooting out into the crowd.

“There was a real mad panic and everyone just rang for the exits. It was all very confusing.”

South African DJ Black Coffee, whose real name is Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, was among those due to perform at Opium Beach Club on the night.

A spokesperson for Spain’s National Police said: “With regards to the shooting incident at Opium in Marbella we can confirm that five people were injured.

“Four have suffered gunshot wounds, one of whom is in a serious condition.

“A person who is the suspected gunman has suffered stab wounds to the chest and head.
