A BODY has been found in the search for a Leicester woman who vanished last week – hours after a murder suspect died in a police cell.
Gabriela Kosilko, 26, was reported missing on Friday after failing to come home from work the previous evening.
A body was recovered on Wednesday afternoon in woodland near a lake in the Groby Pool area, which lies north west of Leicester.
Formal identification is yet to take place, but the body is believed to be that of Ms Kosilko.
A 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of kidnap was been further arrested on suspicion of murder.
While being held in police custody, the man was found unresponsive in his cell on Wednesday morning.

Despite the efforts of custody staff, he was later pronounced dead.
Gabriela was last seen in a shop near her workplace at 11.30pm on Thursday evening.
Her red Audi A1 was then found on a different road four miles away at 4.20am the next day.
