Joe Biden appeared to tell a young teenager in California this week to wait until she is 30 to have a serious relationship. The unsolicited dating advice from the US president was captured on video by a conservative journalist, who shared the exchange on social media. The clip quickly went viral, reaching millions of views and sparking outrage among Americans.

Commenting on the clip, US-based pundit Kinsey Schofield told GB News that Mr Biden made the remarks during a stop at Irvine Valley Community College in California.

She told Mark Dolan that the US leader was meant to be “discussing inflation and lowering the cost of prescription medicine but that’s not what the headlines were about”.

The clip, shared by Turning Point USA reporter Kalen D’Almeida, shows President Biden telling the teenager: “Now a very important thing I told my daughters and granddaughters — no serious guys until you’re 30!”

He was then asked to repeat what he said by the girls’ family, which he did.

The teenager awkwardly laughs off the remark and responds: “Okay, I’ll keep that in mind.”

The girl looked surprised by the sudden appearance of the US president.

Mr D’Almeida tweeted afterwards: “President Joe Biden grabs a young girl by the shoulder and tells her ‘no serious guys till your 30’ as she looks back appearing uncomfortable, secret service appears to try to stop me from filming it after Biden spoke @ Irvine Valley Community College.”

Conservatives jumped on the exchange, with Washington Examiner Chief Political Correspondent Byron York tweeting: “Why does he do this?”

Political commentator Benny Johnson tweeted: “Creepy Joe is at it again.”

This comes as President Biden enraged Britons today by calling out Ms Truss’s abandoned economic plan during a stop in Oregon.

In impromptu remarks to reporters, President Biden said the mini-budget, which sent financial markets into chaos, was a “mistake”.

He said: “I think that the idea of cutting taxes on the super-wealthy at a time when… I disagree with the policy, but it’s up to Britain to make that judgement, not me.”

The US president also hinted that other world leaders felt the same way about her mini-budget, adding that he “wasn’t the only one” who had concerns over the lack of “sound policy”.

The remarks are a highly unusual intervention from a US leader on the domestic policy of a close ally.
