Alexei Navalny handed further 19 year jail sentence
Imprisoned Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny has been sentenced to an extra 19 years in prison following a trial in a distant Russia prison camp.
Mr Navalny was convicted of forming and financially supporting an extremist organisation and its operations, which he vigorously denies.
This new sentence is in addition to his prior nine-year sentence for parole violations, fraud, and contempt of court, all of which are widely regarded as politically driven allegations.
