Twitter user @sjdon16 added: “Doesn’t though, does she?” In the audio Ms Truss said there is a “fundamental issue” in British working culture and accused Brits of wanting “the easy answer”. The comments were made when she was the chief secretary to the Treasury, a post she held until 2019.

Femi Oluwole has been blasted after sharing audio of Liz Truss, which some people have suggested is misleading.

The political activist shared the audio on social media in which he accused the Foreign Secretary of calling Brits “lazy” and “admitting the Brexit referendum was won on lies”.

But supporters of Ms Truss have pointed out it is “not what she said”.

Twitter user @sjdon16 added: “Doesn’t though, does she?”

In the audio Ms Truss said there is a “fundamental issue” in British working culture and accused Brits of wanting “the easy answer”.

Truss launches legal action over £15bn Brexit betrayal

Liz Truss has triggered legal action against Brussels after it blocked vital scientific research to punish Britain.

The Foreign Secretary accused the European Union of playing politics by dragging Britain’s scientists into a Brexit row before saying she was taking formal action to put an end to the bloc’s behaviour.

She said: “The EU is in clear breach of our agreement, repeatedly seeking to politicise vital scientific cooperation by refusing to finalise access to these important programmes.

“We cannot allow this to continue. That is why the UK has now launched formal consultations and will do everything necessary to protect the scientific community.”
