Phoebe never wanted anything to do with Pottery Barn, but alas.
The home goods retailer announced a new collection, available July 30, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Friends,” Apothecary Table included.
Fans of “Friends” will remember that Phoebe despised Pottery Barn, because, in her words, the store’s mass-produced products signified “everything that is wrong with the world!” Accordingly, Rachel, a PB devotee, lied to Phoebe about where she bought her Pottery Barn Apothecary Table, and plenty of other apartment furniture. Rachel also forced Ross, another PB fan, to cover his identical Apothecary Table so Phoebe wouldn’t notice that hers wasn’t an original.
Ultimately, though, Phoebe falls in love with a lamp at the store and gives in to her consumerism urges in “The One With The Apothecary Table.”
As CNN reports, there will be 14 items in the collection, ranging from $13 to $1,099. No word on whether Rachel and Phoebe’s lamp, birdcage or, as Rachel called it, “a room separating apparatus from colonial time” are on sale.
