A 'brave' woman has bought a 'cursed' painting of a young girl, despite two previous owners returning it to the charity shop they got it from.
An X user named Juliet Brando said her friend Zoe bought a portrait of a young girl in a red dress at a charity shop for £20, despite the painting coming with a warning.
Alongside the price tag, a piece of paper fixed to the frame said 'possibly cursed?' – and the painting did indeed prove too much for Zoe, as she left the picture back to the shop.

A month later it reappeared in the shop window with a new note, which read: "She's back!!! Sold twice and returned twice! Are you brave enough???"
"WHAT DID SHE DO?" Juliet said on X after offering the update that the picture had been returned.
Facebook comments revealed that Zoe apparently brought the picture back into the store because it "threw her life into chaos".
The woman who revealed that also commented that the shop manager tried to give her the picture for free, but she added that she doesn't want to "tempt fate".
When people demanded more answers from Juliet, she revealed she was concerned for her friend because of her lack of response.

"She hasn't responded to anyone on Facebook, which leaves me a little concerned," she said.
However, she later added: "Update: we've just been talking on messenger and it's f*****g wild! No wonder she took the picture back!
"I don't want to reveal personal stuff without her permission, but bloody hell! Whether the picture was born with it, or whether the belief in its curse has caused an actual curse, there is SOMETHING WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE.
"She said, and I quote 'whatever you do, don't buy it'."
Juliet has been contacted for comment.
