Woman, 26, 'stole nearly £150k after duping victims into thinking she would invest cash in crypto scheme' | The Sun
AN ALLEGED fraudster stole nearly £150,000 from employers and robbed victims in a cryptocurrency scheme, a court heard.
Megan Reynolds, from Rainham, Kent, is accused of syphoning £119,332 from two firms she worked for over a two-year period.
The 26-year-old is also alleged to have ransacked victims' credit cards after telling them she could make them bags of cash on the crypto market.
Medway Magistrates heard on Monday how Reynolds is accused of abusing her position to steal £101,332 from CSL Power Systems in Farningham, Kent, between November 2019 and March 2021.
She has also been charged with abusing her position at ATL Retail Limited in nearby Sevenoaks, accused of stealing £18,000 between April 2021 and January 2022.
Reynolds is also accused of defrauding Nicola Bishop out of £300 after claiming she would invest the cash into cryptocurrency in October 2021.

She is also alleged to have dishonestly used Ms Bishop's bank card fraudulently to make a gain of £609 in November 2021.
And she was charged with making a gain of £200 by saying she would buy cryptocurrency for another woman, Sophie Bishop, in October 2021.
Reynolds is also accused for pretending to be Callum Bishop when it is alleged she entered into a financial agreement with Creation Financial Services, to make £1,465 between November 2019 and August 2021.
The 26-year-old has been charged with six fraud offences, including two counts of fraud by abuse of position and four counts of fraud by false representation.

Reynolds pleaded not guilty to all six charges, she was granted bail and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on May 22.
