Three people die in three separate traffic crashes along the Front Range overnight.
Three people died overnight in separate traffic crashes along the Front Range, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
A single-vehicle crash happened at about 2 a.m. Saturday on U.S. Highway 285 near Conifer, said Sgt. Troy Kessler, a Colorado State Patrol spokesman. The driver of a Chevrolet Silverado was northbound on 285 when he failed to negotiate a curve and the pickup truck ran off of the road and rolled, Kessler said. The driver, a 24-year-old Lakewood man, was thrown from the truck. He died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt. A passenger, a 24-year-old Glendale man, suffered a minor hand injury. He was wearing a seat belt.
At about 10:15 p.m. Friday a motorcyclist hit a pedestrian in Adams County on Federal Boulevard near West 64th Avenue, Kessler said. The pedestrian died at the scene. The driver of the Harley Davison, a 53-year-old Westminster man, suffered serious injuries. The pedestrian was crossing Federal, outside of a crosswalk, when the northbound motorcycle hit him. The motorcyclist laid down the bike in a futile attempt to avoid striking the pedestrian.
A single-vehicle crash happened at about 2 a.m. Saturday in Weld County at the intersection of County Roads 64 and 27, Kessler said. The driver, a 24-year-old Greeley man, died when his 2010 BMW ran off of the road. A passenger, a 25-year-old Eaton man, suffered minor injuries.
All three crashes remain under investigation.
