Fourth suspect in Boulder County homicide case arrested in New Mexico
The fourth suspect named in connection with a Boulder County homicide case has been arrested in New Mexico.
Elizabeth Nicole Griffin, 23, was arrested by Las Cruces police Monday on suspicion of accessory to first-degree murder, accessory to second-degree murder, accessory to aggravated robbery and tampering with physical evidence
Griffin is one of four people who were named as suspects in the death of Alexis Baca, 25, who was found dead July 24 near near the Realization Point trailhead off Flagstaff Road.
While officials have not yet revealed a possible cause of death, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office said the death was being investigated as a homicide.
In addition to Griffin, Las Cruces police have already arrested Jaime Alonso Moore, 31; Cody Lee Hobirk, 43; and Ashley Lynn Provine, 18.
Moore faces charges of first-degree murder, second-degree murder and aggravated robbery, while Hobirk faces charges of second-degree murder, aggravated robbery and tampering with physical evidence.
Provine, like Griffin, was arrested on suspicion of accessory to first-degree murder, accessory to second-degree murder, accessory to aggravated robbery and tampering with physical evidence.
Officials said all four suspects reside in the Las Cruces area. Investigators have not yet said what connection the four might have to Baca.
All four are currently in custody at the Dona Ana Detention Center as they await extradition to Boulder County.
