Denver weather: Sunny, dry weekend ahead
This week’s winter weather has almost completely left the forecast, with just a small area of light snow in the mountains expected Friday before a dry, mostly sunny weekend across the state.
Denver will have a cool weekend ahead as low temperatures reach the low teens through Monday. Friday will be windy as gusts reach 23 mph, and the high is 34 degrees. The low will be 13 degrees.
The light snow in the mountains will end Friday evening as moisture in the area decreases, and some high winds with gusts up to 60 mph are expected overnight.
Saturday will be clear as well with a high of 43 degrees and a low of 18 degrees. Sunday will be the warmest day of the weekend with a high of 46, but the low will drop into the teens at 16 degrees.
The plains that were hit hardest with the winter weather this week will also have a dry weekend, with highs in the 20s over the snow-covered areas.
A cold front will move into the area Sunday evening, so Monday’s high temperature in Denver will drop to 40 degrees and Tuesday’s at 33 degrees. Both days will still be partly sunny and dry, though.
