House hunters discover hidden cannabis farm with giant ‘grow room’ and discarded plant plots in two-bedroom family home on the market for £25,000

  • Cannabis farm discovered by prospective home buyers at property in Liverpool
  • Photographs show walls covered in reflective material and carpets littered

House hunters were stunned to discover that a house for sale in Liverpool was hiding an entire cannabis farm – equipped with a giant ‘grow room’ and discarded plant pots.

However, there is more to this seemingly ordinary two-bedroom terraced property, on sale for a low guide price of £25,000, than meets the eye.

Images show what appears to be a former cannabis farm hiding within its four walls, with it having been transformed from a liveable space into a drug-making cave.

The interior walls appear to be covered in reflective silver material, accompanied by what appears to be large carbon filters on the ceiling.

Meanwhile, the carpets are littered with an array of discarded plant pots and green bags of waste are piled up in the bathroom.

House hunters in Liverpool were shocked to discover that the owner had turned his home into a secret cannabis farm

The seemingly ordinary terraced house was advertised for sale on Rightmove for £25,000

Most rooms shown on the listing were used to house equipment for stimulating plant growth

Merseyside Police confirmed that a cannabis farm was found and seized from the property on November 24 last year, although no arrests were made.

The property listing on Right Move describes the two-bedroom home as ‘requiring modernisation’ and is due to be sold at auction on July 6, with a low starting bid of £25,000.

Meanwhile, baffled viewers took to social media to poke fun at the property, describing the extraordinary house as ‘ideal for a stoner’.

Some took a guess at what happened to the property’s previous owner, others were amazed by the smoker home’s affordable price and plenty were simply in shock.

One user said: ‘That’s a damn big grow room! That stuff isn’t cheap, either. Presuming they got raided and it’s all just been left there.’

Social media users reacted to the unusual find, with one suggesting that the property got raided

Others joked that the owner had thrown in the equipment with the sale of the house

A second said: ‘Is it so cheap because it’s an ex-grow house or is that just standard in Liverpool?’

A third simply said: ‘Holy sh*t.’

Meanwhile, others joked about being on the hunt for potential freebies, with one person joking: ‘That’s kind of them to leave all that stuff, saves you a lot of time and effort when starting up.’

Another added: ‘That’s a £500/£600 carbon filter on the ceiling. Wonder what other goodies are hiding in there?’
