A body has been found after police launched a major search for a missing woman.
Thea Newton, 29, was last seen around 1.30am today at her home in Warrington, with her car found parked near Sunflower Drive.
Police used search and rescue teams as well as a drone to search for the missing woman, with Cheshire Police confirming a body has now been found.
Her next of kin have been informed as the body is believed to be Thea's, The Mirror reported, while police released a statement confirming their search had sadly found a body.
A spokesperson from the force said: "Search teams looking for missing woman Thea Newton, 29, in Warrington have sadly found a body. It is believed to be Thea and her next of kin have been informed.
"There are no suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
A body was discovered by actively searching officers on the Trans Pennine Trail in the surrounding areas of the Cheshire town.
Police also confirmed the death is not believed to be suspicious.
A previous plea to find the 29-year-old was released, with LiverpoolEcho reporting the woman as last seen in a white t-shirt with a multi-coloured pattern on it.
Her friends had taken to social media in the hopes of finding her, asking members of the public to share their search request.
Thea is believed to be a friend to celebrities, with The Sun reporting her Instagram was followed by the likes of Love Islanders Davide Sanclimenti and Natalia Zoppa.
Police are currently waiting on a coroner's report to confirm the identity of the body found earlier today.
