Ex-Sunderland boss’ fiancée sues surgeon and claims ‘boob job nearly killed her’

An ex-lapdancer claims a boob job nearly killed her and is now suing a surgeon, according to reports.

Laura Clarke, the fiancée of former Sunderland owner Stewart Donald, is said to have had the procedure in Wroclaw, Poland in 2015.

The operation cost £3,200.

But she was hit with infections the next day and had to have the implants removed, the Sun reported.

Her mum, a former nurse, spotted she had signs of infection and rushed her to hospital, where she was found to have life-threatening septic shock.

Laura, 35, of Southampton, Hants., is reportedly suing plastic surgeon Dr Adam Kalecinski, 53, for £92,000 at the High Court in London.

The court heard she had found the surgeon, founder of the Noa Clinic in Wroclaw, online.

She had the breast lift operation and thigh liposuction in January 2015.

Matthew Chapman, her barrister, told the High Court: “The surgery, to put it neutrally, was not successful.

“Her life was in some peril.

"After a number of invasive treatments for severe sepsis, it was necessary for her to undergo breast reconstruction surgery and skin grafting.”

Her lawyer argued the surgery and care both pre-op and after the operation was negligent.

But the doctor denies the claims.

According to the Sun, the surgeon’s insurer has claimed she failed to prove the treatment had fallen below the standards in Poland.

The judge has reserved her decision and it is set to be announced at a later date.

Stewart Donald is the former chairman and majority shareholder of Sunderland AFC.

In December last year, the team confirmed a deal had been agreed for Kyril Louis-Dreyfus to take over his majority shareholding.

It's believed he began dating Laura in 2018 and the pair are engaged.
