Michael Wolff, journalist and author of Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, revealed what he believes President Trump will do next since Joe Biden was called as the winner of the US election. President Trump has refused to concede the election and has made unsupported claims of electoral fraud.
Speaking to the Telegraph, Mr Wolff said: “I assume he will not back down.”
The author added: “He will blame all of the people close to him and this will go on until something else crystallises in his head. The mobilising fact is the need for attention.”
He explained that President Trump will eventually leave the White House but “there’s no plan here”.
Mr Wolff said: “He’s not planning a strategic coup. That would be well beyond his capabilities.”
Mr Wolff added: “He is planning a new role and the role is going to be that the election was stolen from him.
“He will take that show on the road, [claiming to be] the legitimate president and the legitimate hero of 74 million voters.”
During the interview, Mr Wolff talked about what Mr Trump’s next move could be and was asked whether a military strike on Iran is possible.
He said: “A military strike is a complicated thing and he can’t do complicated things.
“But there are non-complicated things that are very disruptive that he certainly could do.”
Mr Wolff explained the president could pardon people and release some secrets.
The author said: “I would anticipate that part of that will be to pardon his family and pardon himself.”
He added: “The president can declassify anything… at will and command.”
Mr Wolff claimed that Mr Trump will declassify documents that help his brand.
There is speculation that President Trump could start a television channel under his name.

Mr Wolff explained that President Trump will “take whatever opportunity is before him” in order to monetise the Trump brand.
He added: “But remember, he can’t run a company. He’s not going to start a media organisation. Someone else will do it for him and [it will] take his name.”
The author also believes Mr Trump is likely to run for president again in 2024 in order to stay in the spotlight.
Mr Wolff went on to blast the other Trump family members who surround the president.
He said: “The Trump boys are truly, truly, profoundly idiots.”
He also claimed Ivanka Trump has more potential but is “gun shy”.
Her husband, Jared Kushner, is the “true survivor” according to Mr Wolff.
The author said: “From day one he’s been the second most important person in the White House. He’s the only one who successfully managed his father-in-law.
“Everything that did get done was Jared moving it forward”
He added: “Jared is that profound contradiction at the heart of Trumpism, that the only person who has really made it work is a Democrat.”
