Health Secretary Matt Hancock has been snapped by CCTV locking lips with his financial aide Gina Coladangelo.

The married Health Secretary was photographed in his Whitehall office kissing his milionaire aide in his Whitehall office.

A whistleblower accused the 42-year-old of cheating on his wife of 15 years, Martha Hoyer Millar, at a time when the UK is still battling the Covid pandemic.

Mr Hancock has apologised for breaching Covid regulations, earlier today the senior mister said: "I accept that I breached the social distancing guidance in these circumstances.

"I have let people down and am very sorry.

"I remain focused on working to get the country out of this pandemic, and would be grateful for privacy for my family on this personal matter."

Hancock hired the 43-year-old with taxpayer's cash last year as coronavirus swept the nation.

A Whitehall source told The Sun Hancock's behaviour "in the middle of a pandemic with an adviser and friend he used public money to hire” is shocking.

Downing Street said the Prime Minister has "accepted" Health Secretary Matt Hancock's apology for breaching social distancing guidelines and "considers the matter closed".

A now deleted Instagram story that was up at the time the explosive story broke showed Mr Hancock inviting women to "get involved in politics".

The Instagram post read: "I work alongside some brilliant women. If you're a woman who wants to get involved in politics. SWIPE UP."

Twitter users reacted to the story that "hasn't aged well".

One asked: "Did he not know this story was coming?"

Another said: "In light of @MattHancock employing and having an alleged affair with his female aide you’d think this was parody. It’s not."

Other users have been comparing the Instagram story to a Tinder profile, changing the "swipe up" action to "swipe right".

One said: "If you’re a woman who wants to get involved, swipe right."

The Health Secretary was already under pressure after evidence provided from Number 10 spin doctor Dominic Cummings showed that Prime Minister Boris Johnson called him "totally f***ing useless" during the early stages of the pandemic.

Mr Hancock has also been accused of lying multiple times about PPE provisions, care homes and the notoriously expensive Test and Trace system.
