SIX Swiss Exchange Partners with Venturelab

SIX Swiss Exchange announced that it has collaborated with Venturelab to support Switzerland-based entrepreneurs and SMEs today. The latest partnership will ensure the availability of correct information to SMEs.

The official press release states that the main focus of the recent partnership is to facilitate Swiss entrepreneurs to help them make effective decisions about financing (private and public capital markets) and the ownership of their SMEs.

The exchange aims to develop a leading B2B marketplace for entrepreneurs. Additionally, SIX Swiss Exchange announced a collaboration for an exclusive training program tailored to high-potential, fast-growing IPO candidates. According to the exchange, the first program is expected to start in the last quarter of 2021.

This cooperation with Venturelab will help us spread awareness of the multiple benefits of being a publicly listed company and the many additional ways in which an IPO can spark growth – whether a company needs to raise capital today or in the future,” Valeria Ceccarelli, Head Primary Markets, SIX Swiss Exchange, said.

In July 2021, SIX reported strong growth in its operating income for the first half of 2021. The exchange posted a year-on-year increase of 19.5% in operating income.

In terms of entrepreneurial ventures, Switzerland has seen substantial growth since the start of 2021. The country is home to some of the biggest crypto firms in the world. During the latest announcement, Stefan Steiner, Co-Managing Director at Venturelab, highlighted the significance of IPO-related information for young entrepreneurs.

Today, most entrepreneurs lack the necessary knowledge of how IPOs work, and many misconceptions potentially limit growth opportunities for these organizations.
