In Croatia, the self-regulating Association for Blockbearing and Crypto-Currency (UBIK) was officially registered.
The goal of the organization, according to the UBIK blog is to create a crypto-exchange community, educate the public and develop the regulation of digital currencies in Croatia.
The creation of the Association was due to the growth in the use of blockades both in the country's market and throughout the world. The founders of the organization were Croatian blockbuster enthusiasts, lawyers specializing in technology and authors of books related to it.
UBIK plans to work for the benefit of the country
On February 9, the first meeting of the management of UBIK with members of the board of the Croatian Tax Administration took place. During the event, issues related to the taxation of digital currencies, the regulation of ICO and the mining of crypto-currencies were discussed.
According to local media reports, the agency is going to openly participate in resolving issues within its jurisdiction.
According to one of the founders of the organization, Nikolay Shkorich, UBIK is going to facilitate the registration of projects connected with the blockbuster as Croatian companies. This will reduce the outflow of capital from the country, reports The Cointelegraph.
